Who we are

What personal data we collect and why
Comments
When visitors leave comments, we collect the IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized hash of your email may be sent to Gravatar (see https://automattic.com/privacy/). After approval, your comment and profile image may be visible publicly.
Media
If you upload images, please avoid EXIF data with GPS coordinates. Visitors could extract location data from images on the site.
Contact forms
Data submitted via contact forms (name, email, phone, message) are used to respond to your inquiry.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, your name, email, and site may be saved in cookies for convenience (1 year). Temporary cookies may check if your browser accepts cookies on login pages; these contain no personal data and are deleted when you close the browser. Additional cookies store login info and editor preferences (2 days–1 year). “Remember me” extends login for 2 weeks. Editing content stores a cookie with the post ID (expires in 1 day).
Embedded content
Articles may include embedded content (videos, images, articles) from other sites. These behave as if you visited that site and may collect data, use cookies, or track your interaction, especially if logged in there.
Analytics
We may use analytics tools to improve the site.
Who we share data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.
How long we retain data
Comments and metadata are retained indefinitely to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically. Registered users’ profile data (if any) are stored in their profile; they can view, edit, or delete it (username cannot be changed). Administrators can also view/edit this information.
Your rights
If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of your personal data and request erasure of personal data, except data we must keep for administrative, legal, or security reasons.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
